This morning we took a bus up to see the mountains that were the inspiration for the movie Avatar. The hanging mountains in Zhangjiajie National Forest. There are pillar like mountains all over the valley. Jeff had a bit of a problem on the bus. He does not do well on a curvy mountain roads. We passed the river with women doing their laundry.
We were able to ride up on a tram to the top of the mountain. It is a long ride passing through all of these spectacular mountains.
When you arrive you then go down this elevator seen coming down the side of the mountain.
The views in every direction were so beautiful.
We got back to our Hotel and the guides told us they had a surprise. We are going to an outdoor show. It was so awesome. The stage sits at the base of the mountain. It is an amazing stage. The play tells the story of the Fairy Fox. It is a love story between a poor farmer and the beautiful Fairy Fox. It was a beautiful production set at the base of the mountain and we were fortunate to have perfect balmy evening and an amazing full moon. This outdoor theater blew Tuacahn out of the water. How luck were we to see this show. Nice surprise.

An amazing day. We cannot wait to see what tomorrow brings.
