This was my first sighting of a hippo in the wild. I had no idea what to expect. A couple of pink knobby eyes. Little clue that under the water was a huge hulking animal.
There were lots of hippos swimming around. They told us not to be fooled by these awkward looking beasts. Apparently they are very dangerous on land.
Here are a couple of happy hippo hunters.
There were also crocodiles in the water. Not a place to go for a swim.
A fun evening spotting hippos and crocodiles. The sunset was beautiful.
