Politics 2012, glad it's over. Now what?

I have never considered myself a hugely political person. 2012 has been an interesting year with the Presidential elections. I feel the need to say a few things for the record (actually my blog journal). I am disappointed in politics. I imagine many would go along with me.

First off I have been reading some big long historical novels. Brutal politics is not new to the world. In fact at times it has been much worse. We travel extensively and it is worse in many countries. We get to see real poverty and corrupt political situations.

However this is the USA. I guess I kind of expected bigger better things. The TV commentaries drained me. You could switch between channels and wonder if they were even talking about the same people. So many lies, twists and deceptions from the commentators and the press. And just because the elections are over does not mean it has ended.

For the record I was very disappointed that Mitt Romney did not win. I believe that he is an honest good person. I do think he could have made a difference and been a good President. It is very sad to see how brutal so many people are towards him. It is sad to see the commentators continue to tear him down and belittle him publicly on and on. I have no faith in Obama care. I guess being in the Medical field and managing a medical office gives me a front row seat to the mess that health care is in. No doubt the system is broken but I see no relief with Obama care. Hang on to your seats.

So now what??? The easy answer would be that all the predictions are right and on December 12th  the world will come to an end. Then we would not have to worry about it. I am pretty sure that is not going to happen, could those Mayans really have predicted that? The next answer is for me to be the best that I can be. Be prepared for the difficult things that may be ahead. We have been asked to be prepared for disasters. I am working on that. Have my life and finances in order. I am working on that. Be kind to everyone. I am working on that. Be generous to others. I am working on that. Live a happy joyful life. I am working on that. Watch less TV and the news shows that try to define how I think, feel, believe. I am working on that. Looks like I have plenty to keep me busy and not worry endlessly about the politics that I have no say in anyway. God Bless America.

Well said.
What goes on in your house is much more important than what goes on in the Whitehouse.

Ya, hang on to your seats is right.
