I have always considered myself afraid of spiders. I do not mind snakes or mice.
Tonight we were minding our business walking the aisles of the grocery store. A man was doing the same except he had this spider cradled on his arm. I could not help but ask him, "what the heck are you doing with that on you, is it alive?" He said, "yes, do you want to hold it?"
Ten minutes later after much coaching I agreed to let the arachnoid crawl on me. I told the man that there was a good chance I would fling his little pet over onto the next aisle and he would have a brain injury hitting the frozen food case. He was patient with me right there by the frozen hash browns.
I tell you, if you want to have adventures you have to be out there where the adventures are. Never think grocery shopping is a drudgery.
