A Blogger I am. A better blogger I will be!

I have turned a blogging corner. I discovered that I have created a type of journal that I am happy with. I found a way to turn my blogging into beautiful hard back books. I did a book for 2007, 2008 and 2009. So now I know that I need to blog more and to include memories from the past mixed in with the current events. We went to Boise and Jeff could not wait to introduce his new pancake recipe to the crowd there. They are really yummy. Buttermilk and sour cream in them.
I discovered that Jakes Christmas outfit matches our Build a Bears outfit. So what do you do but take pictures.

Valentines is not too far behind us to say thanks to my Valentine. I loved the flowers and charm bracelet that included a purse and an RN charm.
Below are some pictures of the three years of blog books. Love, love, love them.
I showed them to some of the girls and encourage them all to make their blogs into books too.
We are in the Dominican Republic. On the way down to South America I always love watching the Islands float by underneath us. I love Islands. I love sun and sea. I remembered things from my past as we flew over them. So beautiful and turquoise.
I grew up going to Wisconsin every summer where we spent our days on the lakes. Oconomowoc and North Lakes. We swam like fish. My favorite was just before dark when we jumped into the lakes off the wooden docks. The water and air would be the same temperatures. You knew there were fish swimming around. That is why to this day I love wooden docks. Old ones are the best. My sister Beth and I went to Lake Powell with my Dad when I was about 13. It was before Lake Powell was a destination. No stores or big marinas. We camped on the shore and ate boxed food. I had Chicken ala king. It was not good. But we had a great time. I am glad I saw Lake Powell in it's splendor. I love Lake Powell and someday will do a post on it alone.
This is one of the Bahama Islands. So beautiful. The clouds and the water are not reflecting each other. Just looks like it.

Ah, the photos from above the Bahamas are breathtaking!! What beauty your eyes behold on your travels.
Fun to read about your childhood memories. It is priceless. Can't wait to see more/hear more about the DR.

Mary, what company did you go through for your book? There are SO many now - just wondering? Looks great. Great memories!

For all who are wondering I used the sight on Cutest Blog on the Block. Click on my link in the upper left hand corner of my blog. Look down the sight a ways and on the left side is a link called blog to book (I think). It is very easy. Just a few clicks and a credit card and you are done. You can do some editing but I did not and it was great. You can choose to include the comments or not. You can choose hard or soft back. I chose hard. I was very happy with how easy it was. Good luck to you all.
