Danube River Cruising and Belogradchick

There was one more visit to a church. They sang a couple of nice songs.

We boarded the AMA Waterways Cruise ship. Our room is very nice with picture windows that open. The views along the edge of the river were never ending.

Every day we stopped and saw the sights along the river. A bus would pick us up and take us to the sites. We had guides who shared the history of the area.

Belogradchick is a fortress built into the natural rocks. It was a little hike up into it.

The sunset added to the spectacular setting.

Our dinners were served in a private dining area. One evening we had a dinner in the Captains dining room. It was very good.

No matter what the time of day or night the views were ever changing and as beautiful. Bart and Joanne were in the room next to us.

During day time cruising we had relaxing time to watch the countries roll by. We played cards, ate ice cream and snacks, walked on the deck and slept or read in lounge chairs. There was always something to do or not do.
We passed through some locks on the river that took a couple of hours.
This man was repairing something with duct tape.

We were excited to see the mans face on the edge of the river. He was huge and carved into the mountain side.

The captain of the boat let people come in for tours of the control center of the boat.
There were parties which we sometimes went to. This one had us all up dancing.
