Thanksgiving in California

For Thanksgiving this year we decided it would be fun to go to California to my Dad's. He is a great cook and the weather had to be better than in Rexburg. Well the weather was not so great on arrival. Our Thanksgiving walk was in the rain.
The new doggie did not mind the rain. He was going swimming anyway.
Jeff claims that rain drops do not bother him. He  just looks through them. HA!
After our walk we went back and got dinner on the table. It was a yummy turkey dinner with all of the trimmings.

There are lots of fun things to see in the area. It is gold country. Jeff checked out the biggest gold nugget in the world.

It is Dad's birthday this week so we went to Sutter Creek to celebrate.
 Happy Birthday!

Looks like it was fun.
That's an amazing gold "piece".

His dessert looks really awesome too.

It was so special having you and Jeff to share Thanksgiving. We loved having so much time to catch up with each other's lives and feelings. (I'm glad we got the rainy day lake hike group shot before everyone was drenched.) It's too bad we didn't get more sunshine pictures. The rest of the days were so gorgeous!

That all looks so familiar! I wanted to see the spread. How was the food? That was a mighty big turkey for 4 people! Has the pup calmed down at all? When we were there in the spring he was pretty rambunctious!
