On top of Table Rock

I have done a lot of hiking in my days. However the last couple of years I have not been able to due to other obligations like work. The other morning my friend Charlene made me get up at 6:15 for a 6:30 departure to hike Table Rock. It is easily one of the most spectacular views on earth. It is a view that you have to work for as in a tough steep hike. The wildflowers were out in abundance but have not yet peaked. The snow is late this year departing and may not ever be all gone before winter comes back.
The final mile was hiked in snow. Lots of it. We were very glad we had our poles with us.
I made it. It looks like you can reach out and touch the Grand Teton Mountains. My next thing to conquer will be the Grand Canyon in September. Rim to rim in a day. Guess I better get a few more long hikes in before then.

What spectacular views! I love the picture of you with the Tetons in the background. How do you like hiking poles? Do you use one or two? I think they would really help your dad because his knees bother him so much.
