A beautiful week!

I had so much fun this week. WOW! We had our girl friends get away at Shan's cabin in Victor Idaho. As we drove up Tuesday morning the trees were so intensely gold I had to get out and take pictures. We walked in this beauty also but I forgot my camera. Oops. 

 Back in the cabin we shared photo albums. We have been hiking and playing outdoors now since about 1980ish for a couple of us and the late 80's for most. It has been a blast. We have been together for almost 25 years some of us. The memories are amazing. 

 And of course we ate...a lot. Then we played cards (Scum, what else). Finally Suzan had us all give an answer to a secret question which was so much fun and enlightening. We all vowed to not speak a word of what was shared. Well maybe we would if someone begged. I do not stay up late much but we were into the wee hours of the morning before everyone finally made it to bed.  

 Drove home Wednesday morning and headed to Boise after a quick turn over in the suitcase. Joanne and I arrived just in time to see Ella and Edie to bed. I woke up in the morning to more glorious fall colors. The trees in Leslie's yard were equally beautiful. This is the view out of her window including the one of the hot air balloon. She has them float over her house nearly every day. 

 Made a visit to the dentist in Meridian and headed right back to Rexburg. Kind of sad to have only a couple of hours in the Boise area. We did not even get to go shopping. Back at home Mother Nature kept up her color display. The sunset tonight was so spectacular. I think it is about to end as the forecast is for wind snow and rain this weekend. It has really been a beautiful fall. Almost made up for the lack of summer this year. Almost.
