Views from the bus from Huaraz to Iquitos Peru

On Wednesday we got up early and drove to Lima from Huaraz. The ride was 8 hours again. The views were amazing often reminding me of the Himalaya mountains. It was fascinating to watch daily life pass by. This is a very poor area. Life is very simple here. The terrain changed dramatically through out the day. We then flew from Lima to Iquitos. Iquitos is only able to travel to by air or boat. It is on the Amazon. We walked down to it last night. It is an awesome site. It is on my Bucket List but I am not sure if gazing at it from this tough looking city counts. I will post river pictures tonight. Internet here is spotty.

Mary & Jeff, thanks so much for posting all the wonderful pictures of your amazing life! These are scenes that most of us will never get the chance to see. You need to assemble a hardbound book, with narration of all that you have seen, with your own eyes!

Great pictures, great adventure! Thanks for taking us along with you! Do you ever get a chance to talk with the 'locals' - in their simple life, do they appear HAPPY? You guys are doing a great job.
