Cape Town, South Africa

For the last year we have been planning our trip to South Africa. We traveled with Funforless for the third time. It made for a fun and worry free trip. We flew from Idaho to New York the first day. The  next morning we got up and boarded a South African Airline flight to Johannesburg. It was a very long flight. The next flight took us to Cape Town. We arrived in the afternoon. We stayed in a nice Hotel near the wharf. It was in walking distance of the wharf. It was a fun place with lots of good places to eat and things to see and buy. The first night we had African type food. That means we had crocodile, ostrich and kudo.
I am not too big on rides but I got brave and we rode the Ferris wheel with some friends. The Keller's and Walters joined us that evening.

Cape Town is a beautiful city. One of the most beautiful I have been to.

One of our stops was Table Mountain. So beautiful from the top. We rode the tram up.

We drove along the coast and it was as pretty as I have seen. Clean and lined with biking walking paths. The cliffs are known as the Twelve Apostles.

Around every corner is another adventure. We visited Seal Island by boat and watched the seals frolicking in the water and climbing on the rocks.

Anita, Eric and Jordan Towner. Kirsten and Michael Wilcox were all along with us on this trip. They were fun, entertaining and responsible for our group.

Our first wild life sighting of the trip were baboons. They were all along the coast.
Next stop was the Cape of Good Hope. I walked up the mountain and then surprise Jeff showed up to. He rode the train part way.

This cute couple is in their 80's and kept up with the group.

Who would have thought there were penguins in Africa? Well there are.

A beautiful day in a beautiful city. A great start to our trip to Africa.

Jeff catching up on rest before the next adventure.
