Happy New Year!
Our plan was to go to see Barry Manilow. Barry cancelled so we went to Salt Lake City anyway. Bart and Joanne went with us and we had a pretty nice time. Dinner was at the Joseph Smith building. We ate and ate and ate. They even gave us party hats.
Following dinner we wandered around Temple Square. They had some great entertainment all over the place. We looked at the lights without the big crowds.
The entertainment was first class. An 11 year old girl sang and did amazing.
New Years Day we had a great breakfast at Pennie Ann's. Then we drove up to Midway near Park City. There is a really cool (pun) ice creation called Ice Castles. We watched them working on it. They grow icicles and then form them into big ice formations that you walk through.
The color is so pretty. They seem to glow turquoise blue.
The year 2013 was a good year. Of course there were challenges but we had a year of adventure, love and fun with family and friends. I cannot wait to see what 2014 brings. Happy New Year!
