The long and winding remodel road!

 It was time. Time for all the pink tile and leaking plumbing to go. Our house is 21 years old and it was just time. So we gutted the master bathroom (main bath to follow). We gutted it to the studs and started over. Good by pink Z in the shower and gold fixtures. We started the first week of January. It is now mid March, still not done.

Starting over meant new sheet rock.
 New heated tile and cabinets.

 So we also did some things in the kitchen. The cabinets were worn and so we decided to paint them. Oops, they painted the wrong color. So we had to wait and have them repainted the right color. New granite counter tops came in the wrong color. They however are beautiful and we opted to keep them anyway. (Kind of like a dye lot difference).
 Granite coming through the front door.
Here is a picture of the difference in the kitchen paint. The lighter one on top is the one they were supposed to be. They are now repainted and hopefully they are putting the cabinets back together today. We have been since the first week in January without a Master bath or kitchen. I am over it.
As if this has not been enough torture we are now gutting the main bathroom so we can repair a ceiling leak etc. It will all be worth it in the end and I will be patient a little longer.

Sharing a bathroom with you and starving every morning just made the trip more memorable! ;)

The bathroom looks like a huge project!
I think it is bigger than my kitchen.

Remodeling=YUK!
