Tunja Columbia pictures

This morning we woke up and walked to the Church next to our Hotel. They opened it for us and WOW it was so beautiful. It is from the 1400's and still all original. The alter is all gold leaf. The second alter below is hand carved wood.

This statue of Christ was so nice. His eyes are crystals. I will post more pictures later. We have seen many churches and cathedrals around the world and this one was a nice surprise.

Walking back across the town center we saw this cute couple feeding the birds. You can click on the picture to get a close up view of them.

Love the scene with the birds, it reminds me of Mary Poppins scene in London with the birds.

How lucky you are to get to do all this traveling and see so many amazing sights! I would so love to be with you. The picture of the couple feeding the birds touched my heart. It is a reminder to me that Wwe can find so much joy in simple pleasures.

Wow, loved seeing the photos of the church. I can't believe they were able to fabricate such beatiful things in the 1400's. It's great to be able to see these things in the world through your camera's eye!

Those are some neat pictures! I especially like the family feeding the pigeons - that's a COOL pic - love the colors and motion of the birds.
