Hooray, Rexburg Medical Center is open!

What a week it has been. Make that what a year. We had a wonderful experience with Charles funeral. It was one of the nicest ones we have been to.

We were pretty stressed having the funeral and Open House all in one week. We were not able to be at the office the two most important days of getting ready for the Open House. The employees pulled together and did a fantastic job of getting everything ready. Look at Kay above. She climbed into the fish tank and shined it up. We even hung little toy fish in it for decor. It is pretty cute.

First we had a luncheon for everyone in the building and everyone who has ever worked there. We did not know what to expect for turnout. We ran out of food at the end and the caterer thinks we fed about 120 people. We think about 400 came to the Open House. WOW!

Then we went upstairs for the 5 ribbon cuttings. I was stunned when I went up and saw how many were there. Hundreds of people. It was wall to wall. It was fun to cut all of those ribbons. We then gave guided tours of the building until 7 at night. It was a steady stream of people. Such a huge success. All the TV stations came and the papers. Today is open house again. I do not expect as many but who knows. I did not expect yesterday to be so big either.

It is beautiful! It makes me wish I was still in Rexburg. What a lot of hard work, but it will be very worth it. I also love the pink scrubs and the crisp white shirts...very classy.

What a huge accomplishment, Mary and Jeff! We are so proud of the beautiful job you have done. I can't believe that this forward-thinking project has been completed. Congratulations. Jeff, our sympathy on the unexpected passing of your father. We are never ready to lose a loved one.
