Halloween was a bust so here are more Peru pics

Primary girls with the youngest resident of the orphanage
The babys new bed.

Jeff and friends.

This little girl was full of energy and charm. She can play ball with the best of them even though her arm is missing from the elbow down.

Waiting for the Primary performance.

Ok we went to a Halloween party but did not get any pictures. We went as Mr & Mrs Zorro again. Mediocre at best. But some of our friends went all out. Bart was a match for Mitch. I think they even had the same wig.
So I will post some pictures from our trip to the orphanage in Cajamarca. We went with our group on Saturday morning. Dr. Joo and his wife are the Humanitarian Missionaries and had purchased a lot of things to donate that were needed. Also Katie and Kristy with our group had bought a lot of things to contribute. So we went and watched the little donation ceremony, followed by a program put on by the Primary kids from the area. The orphanage is all girls from infant up to about 15 years old. They love to have visitors. If you remember last time we were there they had a newborn baby that slept on the kitchen counter. One of the donations was a portable crib for her. We feel so fortunate to have been a part of this day. The donations were needed and the entertainment was so much fun for the girls.
Tonight our thoughts and prayers are with our friends in the Dominican Republic. The country has been hit by a tropical storm that has devastated the country. I just saw on the news that they have appealed for International Aid as the resources are overwhelmed and they cannot help themselves. So many are dead, missing and homeless. We have been there four times in the last year or so. We have some good friends both in the Church and the Country that we are worried about tonight. It is a helpless feeling to know we cannot do anything to help them.

Oh, such a sad story about the Dominican Republic. But such a wonderful story about the donations for the Orphanage. I bet it is so humbling to be a part of something like that. May God bless those little children.

I love the orphanage pictures Mary! They are awesome! It's so sad about the DR - I hope they are ok!

I just heard back from the Hansen's (missionary couple). They said they are fine and they do not know yet about others. The Church offices are closed for a few days. They saw a lot of damage.
