Yesterday my friends convinced me to go on a "little" bike ride in Island Park. So, because I have not had my bike down in the last year I decided to leave my "slick" tires on. That means they were meant for roads. They of course misled me. We traveled on gravel roads, steep ones I might add, then they headed down the old railroad track which was soft sand. We rode down to the old fish hatchery where we took the picture by the water fall. (Remember what goes down has to go back up). I made it to the lunch stop. Next we started back down the Mesa Falls Highway. Unfortunately (HEEHEE) one of the ladies got a flat tire, so someone had to walk with her. So the rest headed back to get the pick up and we walked a couple of miles pushing our bikes.
It was a spectacular day. I loved riding in such a beautiful place. We are very lucky to live here. I especially am thankful for the flat tire (see my pic as they try to fix the flat). My legs had enough for their first ride of the year! To top it all
off we stopped in Ashton at the old soda fountain and I had a CHOCOLATE MALT. It was yummy. Thanks friends for the great day!

Great pictures Mary! It was really great to have you along. You're amazing, first ride in over a year and you still ride like a pro! It was a beautiful day, and great company. After watching the Hoyt video, makes you feel like we all still have a long way to go! Thanks for posting these pictures, and here's looking forward to more adventures this summer!
Looks like fun. Keep up the riding and the blogging. Love ya
