Grandma's slumber party

This week we had a little slumber party get together in Driggs with a bunch of my girl friends. We have been buddies for about 20 years now. When we did our first hikes we had children younger than the grandchildren we now have. Hiking, biking, lunching, laughing, sharing good times and bad. Lately I have been too busy to go with them much. But when I do it is so so fun. I need to make more time for them. We did a little hiking in the newly fallen snow. The little plant below had on the cutest little stocking cap made of snow.

Of course we ate really really well. Suzan made the dessert. All diets were abandoned for the night.

Activities were laugh, hike, eat, laugh, play cards, laugh, sit by the fire, laugh, share cell phone knowledge, laugh, buy watch bands, laugh, eat some more and laugh ourselves to sleep. AAHHH.
I even caught the critter hanging on the wall smiling down on us.
Cherish your friends. I love all of mine.

Salt Lake Day Trip

We make the dash to Salt Lake every two weeks for meetings. Up early, drive down, got to meetings, run errands, see some of the kids, eat dinner and drive back home. We have it down to a science. This week we hit a favorite by going to Hires. Never a bad choice. Fast and yummy. Rootbeer in a thick glass frosted mug.
So good!

We got to meet Thomas Fletcher the newest of the ever expanding family. That makes three boys in 5 months. Wild times are ahead. He is another keeper. That makes 15. Any thing else brewing out there kids?

Finally a stop at the Rennakers. They have been busy carving pumpkins with the downstairs neighbors. They stayed home this day sick. HHMMM, they do not look too ill to me. On that note, we are run over busy at the office with H1N1 (SWINE FLU). Please stay home of you are sick with flu symptoms. They made the right choice to stay home.
