This morning we walked a couple of blocks to Cafe Tortoni's. We love to go here for breakfast if you can call it that. It is a famous old cafe (the oldest in Buenos Aires). Once we had lunch here which was mediocre. However the churros and chocolate special which is a pot of thick rich chocolate is divine. We ordered that and a pot of hot chocolate and a submarine. You can see in the picture below that it is an actual submarine shaped chocolate bar that you drop into your hot milk. This is why I come to Argentina. Well one of the reasons why.
This is a chocolate lovers dream. See the little submarine? Do you think I have a chocolate problem? Is there a support group anywhere for this?
On Wednesday evening we finished up with NRT in Cordoba. This is the group we have been working with. They are all wonderful. It was an eight hour drive yesterday back into Buenos Aires. Lots of farm land, it actually looked alot like home sometimes. Today we walked around and took one of the city bus tours to see as much as we could of the city. It is very European feeling. The Argentine people are very nice and have a passion for life.
Tomorrow morning we are flying to Asuncion Paraguay. We have friends there also and always look forward to seeing them again. Paraguay is a great place also.
