These are a few of my favorite things about today!

The manager from Bear World dropped by the office. He had this under his jacket. It is a 5 week old baby black bear. OOOHHHH!
Berta and I were visiting and I told her about this birthday calender that Lynne made for me. The little hearts have family names and birthday on them. They clip on with tiny clothes pins.
Nell has kept busy this winter making dish clothes. They are the best dish clothes around. I have been throwing away my old yucky ones.
The little guy below was in an aquarium that I checked out. We are going to put a salt water tank in the RMC remodel. Isn't he a cutie. It has been a rare calm day today. Sigh....

It's a girl!

She was born tonight by C-section around 7:30. So far no name.
She had to work a little harder than normal to breathe, so they have her in a "headbox", which supplies extra oxygen. They also put in an IV into her umbilical cord. As awful as that sounds the baby does not feel it. The vessel is still there and open from prebirth. This was just a precaution in case she has more breathing difficulties.
Chalene gets her first look at her. Grandma & Grandpa Z checking her out. Grandpa was able to deliver her. Sorry to call her "she" but that is what it is for now. Check tomorrow for an update on the name.

Sunday, Sunday

No pictures today.
We went to Church this morning and were called out because Jeff's dad, Charles was pretty sick. We took him to the Hospital and discovered he needed his gallbladder out. So we ran home for a few minutes and returned to wait while he was in the OR.
On the way down to the hospital we turned the corner near our house and saw a couple of police cars with their lights on. We thought there must have been a little accident so kept driving. I noticed a man walking down the middle of the road a little erratically. We were nearly up to him and I realized that he was packing a big gun. I said Jeff, back up fast, which he did. (I did think about grabbing the camera for a picture and then realized this was not a good time to do that). By now police were coming and surrounding him. Still not sure what it was all about. We took another route. It was a scary site. Jeff said,"maybe he was out hunting squirrels". Yea right!

Oh and Jeff's dad did well in surgery.

Question for you all. I have been getting spam comments nearly everyday now that I have to delete. Anyone know what is going on?
