We visited the Uros Islands on Lake Titicaca, near Puno, Peru. The people live on islands that they make out of reeds. They squish when you walk on them. This particular island we visited was inhabited by members of the church. When we got there the women apologized because all the men were at scout camp. I didn't tell them that they live at scout camp!! As we were leaving they asked if they could sing to us...here is their song.

Iguana park in Guayaquil Ecuador
We always look forward to visiting the Iguana Park in the middle of Guayaquil Ecuador. There are hundreds of Iguanas running around. This one posed for this picture and then spit on me just like the dinosaurs in Jurrasic Park.

For the last three years Jeff and I have been traveling in South America on a regular basis serving as part time missionaries. We teach newborn resuscitation to Doctors and nurses. We will try to do frequent updates and posts so you can follow our travels and experiences. We will also try to recap the places we have been. So here we go! Thanks for your support and interest.
This picture was taken in Cuenca Ecuador in November of 2006 as we developed the NRT course to be taught in April of 2007.
